SLOW PROVENCE
Provence, planned more slowly
I’ve created Slow Provence around the way I actually travel: choosing beautiful regional bases, exploring nearby villages gently, lingering at markets and taking the scenic road whenever I can. It brings together the places I love with the practical detail you need to plan your own trip with confidence.

WHY SLOW PROVENCE
Provence, the way I actually travel it
Slow Provence wasn’t built from a list of must-see attractions. It grew from my own travels through Provence — the villages I return to, the roads I love driving, the markets worth getting up early for and the places where I’ve learnt it pays to slow down.
Along the way I’ve also learnt the practical things that rarely make it into glossy travel guides: where parking becomes difficult, when to arrive, which villages work beautifully together, when it’s better to stay somewhere quieter nearby, and when a place deserves more time than you might expect.
I’ve brought all of that together in Slow Provence so you can plan with confidence, without turning your holiday into a race from one attraction to the next.
It’s the Provence I know, love, and would want a friend to experience ...

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Slow Provence only for a seven-day trip?
Not at all. Slow Provence is designed to be flexible. You can use the regional bases, village pairings, markets and suggested outings to shape a shorter stay, a longer trip or simply choose the areas that appeal to you most.
Do I need to follow the guide in a particular order?
No. The guide is designed around regions and places rather than a rigid sequence. You can move through it according to where you are staying, which market days suit you and how much time you want to spend in each area.
Do I need a car?
For the style of Provence covered in this guide, I recommend one. A car gives you much more freedom to reach smaller villages, scenic roads, markets and countryside stops that are difficult to explore well by public transport alone.
How do the Google Maps work?
Slow Provence includes five detailed Google Maps with places already pinned for you, including villages, restaurants, accommodation, experiences, and other useful stops. You can open them on your phone while planning or travelling.
What format is Slow Provence?
It is a digital PDF guide available after purchase. You can save it to your phone, tablet or computer and use the clickable links and maps while you plan and travel.
Is Slow Provence useful if I’ve already visited Provence?
Absolutely. Alongside well-known favourites, I’ve included quieter villages, practical observations, regional pairings and places that are easy to overlook. It is designed to help you explore Provence more deeply, not simply tick off the obvious highlights.
Are you read to discover Provence more slowly?
Take the guide with you as you plan, then keep it close at hand while you travel — with the villages, maps, practical advice and places I’ve gathered for you along the way
